Tbilisi is an economic, political and cultural center of Georgia, which offers lots of fun for both locals and tourists. The city was founded by the Georgian king in the 5th century. The combination of original architecture and natural beauty gives it much charm and color. Tbilisi stretches in a narrow strip on both banks of the Kura River. Its narrow-curved streets run up the slopes and round the mountain’s ridges. Here are numerous amazing sights to see and things to do. The main places to visit are: Metekhi Church which is in the historical heart of the city. It was built in the 5th century by the king Vakhtang Gorgasali. From this place you can easily move to Abanotubani, which is well-known with its natural Sulfur bathes, these bathes are proliferated here for over a thousand years.
Tbilisi is full of great, historical and beautiful monuments; Church and Synagogue: The Sameba Cathedral is the main Cathedral of the Georgian Orthodox Church. The Church can be seen from various points from the city. The Mamadaviti (Father David) Church was built in the 6th century and is located in Mtatsminda (the holy mountain). Mtatsminda is also known for its Amusement Park and relaxing landscapes.
Beside the parks and the Churches in Tbilisi, you can find a few very attractive museums with the modern and ancient Georgian and Caucasian artefacts. Also, Opera and ballet state academic theatres, shopping centers full of famous brand shops and unique nightlife.
